The CAMS is one of the research units likely to welcome the successful candidates of the national Call below. CAMS is willing to support applications on projects of interest to the laboratory – modelling in economics and social sciences, analysis and modelling of large databases on problems of societal interest (economics, health, urban growth, social networks, diffusion of opinions and behaviours, language evolution, etc.

The national Institute of Human and Social Sciences of the CNRS is recruiting three post-doctoral fellows from October 1, 2020 for a period of two years. The research proposed in the context of this call for applications must fall within the following thematic areas:
– Digital Humanities; Computational Social Sciences; Artificial Intelligence in Human and Social Sciences
– Educational inequalities

Eligibility: Candidates who have defended a doctoral degree after 1 January 2015 are eligible, regardless of age or nationality. An increase of one year for each year of maternity or parental leave is granted.

CDD 12 mois, Ingénieur-e de recherche en ingénierie logicielle (h/f)
Projet EQUINOMATHS, financé par l’Agence pour les Mathématiques en Interaction avec les Entreprises et la Société (AMIES), responsable scientifique : Amandine Aftalion, collaboration avec l’équipe de contrôle optimal du laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions de Sorbonne Université, et avec la startup Arioneo, basée au Tremplin, la plateforme d’innovation pour le sport de Paris.
Mission : Développer un logiciel d’aide à l’entrainement et la performance pour les chevaux de course au galop en partenariat avec la startup Arioneo (qui produit un capteur pour les chevaux de course).
Le logiciel s’appuiera sur un modèle mathématique de contrôle optimal développé pour la course chez l’humain. L’identification des paramètres sera faite à partir des données fournies par la startup. Ce travail pourra donner lieu à une publication conjointe avec la startup.

The goal is to analyse an OCR database giving the daily prices of the Coulisse and the Bourse de Paris from 1899 to 1939. This will produce an efficient tool for the understanding of the financial markets functioning. Such historical insights will help in understanding the today organization of financial markets. An econometrics and time-series analysis will be driven, agent-based modelling will be simulated and methods of visualization will help to provide educational data-based services. A comparative, long-term analysis of the robustness of two types of market organization (auction and OTC) will inform the debate about the re-organization and regulation of financial markets. Posted March 22, 2019The postdoc is expected to develop an autonomous research activity in the area of big data analysis applied to individual search process on labor market, with as well interest in developing user-interfaces for job seekers and job providers . He should be interested in the societal aspects of the projects (such as developing fair algorithms). He is expected to publish in top conferences and journals in any relevant field (in economics, computer science, complex systems…) as well as generalist journals, and tightly collaborate and cooperate with our project partners, scientists and from enterprises. The applicant must also be ready to take part in grant project report, and the research group active engagement in the international scientific activities.

MathInParis second call for applications open from December, 15th 2018 to April, 1st 2019.The international Doctoral Training in Mathematical Sciences in Paris – MathInParis – Cofunded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions offers 40 PhD fellowships within the framework of the European Horizon 2020 program « Marie Sklodowska-Curie Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes ».
The PhD projects have to be supervised and supported by one (or more) researchers and hosted in one of the laboratories of the FSMP network.
Laureates of the programme will sign a contract, starting in September 1st 2019 (at the earliest).
